New Bottling Buckets

It's occurring to me that we haven't purchased new brew buckets since, at the very least, moving to the current location.  Can I get reimbursed for two new bottling buckets and two new bottling wands?

Once purchased, I ask that we do not use them for storing auto-siphons, tubing, etc.  Also, they should only be washed with PBW or Oxyclean.  No dish soap!

I understand about bottling

I understand about bottling buckets ('cause we store stuff in there). But there were at least 3 (if not 4-5) bottling wands with tubes to connect to the spout of a bottling bucket the last time I looked. What's wrong with those?

I feel like the wands,

I feel like the wands, especially with the tubing left on them are collecting mildew and should be switched out once a year.  (It's been about a year since I bought the current ones.)

Jeff, that is considered

Jeff, that is considered normal brew house supplies and as long as it is below $75 being a board member you are authorized to make the purchase without approval...but you also have my Yes vote too.

Please label the new equipment with the purchased date and look in the sour kit, upgrade any of those bucket & wands.  Please discard the other wands and buckets so their is no confusion.

I vote no!  Mmm.... Mildew beer....

P.S. - J/Ks all around, I would vote yes but don't think you need it.

Oh... my... god.  Why haven't we done this?    http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...

Do it! I second labeling it

Do it! I second labeling it with the date and maybe a "dissassemble, clean valve after use"

I purchased three buckets,

I purchased three buckets, lids, and wands yesterday; one of them is for sours.  They are all labelled with a bucket number, the date and instructions to not use for storage and to only clean with PBW.  I forgot to add something about cleaning the valves, so I'll do that next time.

They are currently residing on the picnic tap next to the fridge.

I came in to bottle and keg a

I came in to bottle and keg a week ago, and an autosiphon had two visible white chunks of something inside it and two pieces of tubing were sticky to the touch.  I took my beer home and kegged and bottled it there.  I don't know the answer to the problem, but it was discouraging.
