Large Fan at the Front of the Brewhouse

Since it's finally getting to be summer (90's this weekend), heat is a killer inside the brewhouse.

I noticed there was a large industrial fan in the back by the garage door. However, the A/C cord of the fan ends with what looks like an attachment - and attachment that is no longer there. Does anyone know where this extention is?

Having that fan blow air from outside in I think would help a lot (besides keeping both the front and back doors open). Or maybe there's another suggestion?

thanks-
brandon

Hi Brandon, I'm not sure

Hi Brandon, I'm not sure about the attachment, but I usually have the  fan face the parking lot. There's a tendency for dust to blow into the brew house otherwise. (If the parking lot is wet, you're good, though.) With the front door open, you should be able to pull enough air through to keep it somewhat cool.

Yea good point, Jeff. That

Yea good point, Jeff. That makes sense - much like a computer or attic fan .. disperse the hot air rather than blow it in.

I've been wondering that

I've been wondering that myself. That fan is a beast and will give a nice breeze standing at the other end of the BH. Wikipedia tells me it is a C13/C14 type plug, like whats used in PC power cords. Does this look right?

Yea, that's it Matt. But (I

Yea, that's it Matt. But (I think) it might be the "male" version. So the pic you posted is of what we need coming from the power outlet. I'll take a picture of it when I'm there tomorrow.

I'll be going to Home Depot next saturday anyways & I'll see if they have what we need. If they do, I'll pick it up.

I was there brewing yesterday during the day and hoooooLIshit it was hot. Note to self, don't brew on 90+ degree days. Or just bring enough beer to "hydrate" yourself with.

Alright I found an old

Alright I found an old computer adapter and attached it to the fan today. Works like a charm. I also tied a tie-wrap it to the other cord to avoid losing the connection again.

Also Matt for what it's worth, I think the CO2 is out again. I tried to sit my lid after kegging and nothing came out
