You can also learn how yeast contributes to the flavor of beer at our Yeast Lab, which will be eight SMASH beers brewed with the same recipe, but fermented by different yeast strains. Can I invite a few people and have them just show up (and pay) without pre-registering for a trial memebership? I know a few people that are beer-loving and curious enough to possibly check it out (and then, who knows, maybe they follow up), but the extra (official) step up might be enough to dissaude them from attending.

Hi Sean, would they be okay with using their smart phones to pay at the door? For legal reasons, everyone who attends the party must be club members, which is why the cover is a trial membership.

Hi, new member here, a couple of questions. The cost - the banner/ad says $30 and trial membership, what does that mean? What is the cost for a member to attend? And how about spouses of members, do they need to be members themselves?

Hi Jim,
Admission is free for CHAOS members. For all non-members, the cost is $30, which includes a two month trial membership.
Spouses of non-alchemist members are required to pay the $30.

I should probably create some verbiage for the banner graphics for our events that isn't so confusing AND somewhere/somehow clearly delineate who can bring +1s and who can't (Sean and Jim were by no means the first to ask these questions).
Basically, each person must be a paying member to get into seasonal events; but, any level of paying membership gets you in (Friend, Apprentice, Brewer; or, Trial); and, any person may become a member.
+1s are reserved for "Alchemist-level" members (information about which can be found here: https://www.chaosbrewclub.net/membership/alchemy).
