Door at top of stairs left open to the outside

if you see water coming through the ceiling today it because the landing at the top of the stairs was saturated last night with all the rain. The door was open when I stopped by this morning. Water ran across a beam and is dripping on the floor. Not a huge deal. It just wanted to make sure everyone knew where the water is coming from. Try to keep that door closed or check it if you're the last to leave.

Noah, one of the bands

Noah, one of the bands drummers, is an architect, and he's been noticing leaks.

From Noah... (how ironic)
I noticed that when it rains, the water comes in from above the door to the second floor.  Right where the stair doghouse meets the brick face of the building.  It was like a little waterfall I had to walk through.  I figured you guys knew about that.  I can point it out or take pictures if need be.  would probably a relatively easy fix for a roofer.  I also, looked at all the upstairs windows when it was raining... The jam and storage space I did not see any water.  Two of the windows on the right, when you walk upstairs were leaking (one a small puddle, the other small drips).  The wind was hiting the back of the building when I was there, so the front windows might leak under wind-driven rain on another day, but who knows.

Are landlords supposed to

Are landlords supposed to deal with any of this, or is that a non-starter?
