Labels

Anyone else make labels sometimes?  While I've gotten out of the habit of making labels, its nice when I'm giving beer away.  I'm no designer but threw these together this evening:

Years ago, the club hosted a labeling workshop. The foil transfer ones were especially cool I thought. I don't know if anyone still has the knowledge on this though.

That's cool, Rich.  All I do

That's cool, Rich.  All I do is print them off on my inkjet printer, usually four or six to a page (I don't do this by the case, btw, way too expensive!) cut them up and apply them with a glue stick (so they come off with just a little water).  They are not water proof at all - can't stick them in a bucket of ice.  My approach is definitely amateur hour.

For the design, I use photoshop elements, I know enough to be dangerous.

Yeah, I'm too lazy and careless about keeping bottles frankly, but many of these were more along the lines of printing a semi-permanent logo on bottles that you re-use.  I remember seeing them around for quite a while after and wishing I had done it.  It would be pretty cool to have a couple cases with the foil transfers on them to show off occasionally, though.

That is interesting.  I've seen permanent etching on bottles, which was kind of interesting and cool.  I've done that on glassware, once or twice.

Jim - These were printed off

Jim - These were printed off a printer as well.  I believe they worked, for lack of a better example, like a temporary tatoo.  No etching necessary, though certainly less permanent.  I wish they had posted some pics, because some looked really cool.

The foil transfer ones only

The foil transfer ones only work with a laser printer though.
