Get ready for the 7th Annual Binny’s Homebrew Contest sponsored by Samuel Adams! We heard your feedback last year, and we made some changes. This year, we’re expanding the contest to two rounds: a first round held at four Binny’s locations, plus a final round at our Lincoln Park store.
Here’s the deal. We are accepting entries starting Sunday, June 1st, as soon as our doors open at four locations. Drop off your entry at one of four participating Binny’s stores, complete with a filled entry form. We’re accepting 50 entries per store. Contest entry is free. Get all the details after the jump…

To recap: drop off your entry at any of the four locations starting on June 1st. Arrive early because 50 spots fill quickly. Then join us later for the event at your drop off location. If your beer ranks in the top five at that location, it advances to the final event on July 9, where contest winners will be announced.

Prizes
Each of the top five from each first round will receive a $45 Binny’s Gift Card and will advance to the finals event.
Finals first place winner will receive a trip for two to the 2014 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, including tickets, airfare and hotel.
Finals second, third, fourth and fifth place winners will win a $100 Binny’s Gift Card.
A label is not required, but we do love cool labels. One Best Label will be chosen from each first round, and the winner will receive a $25 gift Binny’s Gift Card and will also advance to the finals event. Finals Best Label will receive a $50 Binny’s Gift Card.
All participating brewers will receive beer evaluation sheets with judges comments.
Rules
Each household may enter one beer.
Entrants must drop off three 12oz bottles or two 22oz bottles of their beer at one of four participating Binny’s locations starting Sunday, June 1st, along with entry form rubber banded around the bottles. Click here to download entry form.
Entries are limited to the first 50 beers submitted at each location starting June . Spots fill quickly, so arrive early. Watch the official Binny’s Twitter feed to announce when spots are filled at each location.
You must be present at the store no later than 8:00 pm on the day of your location’s first round party to claim your tasting evaluation sheet and any prizes.
