Food Pairing Workshop at Tacotlan
Join us Wednesday, January 23rd at 7:00 PM at Tacotlan (4312 W Fullerton Ave.) for some awesome Mexican food and learn about pairing beer with Mexican cuisine from our very own beer and food pairing guru Jeff Whelpley. After trying a variety of Tacotlan’s dishes and learning which beer flavor profiles would complement them the best, CHAOS brewers will be able to apply that knowledge and brew a beer to be poured at Tacotlan’s 1 year anniversary party coming up on February 24th. Tactotlan is BYOB so bring some beers to share. The goal is to have a wide variety to see how they work with the different dishes. Please RSVP by Monday, 1/21 if you can make it by replying here or PMing Jon P. Please note, this is a members only event as space will be limited.
Here are the beer styles I recommend for Wednesday: American pale ale/IPA, American brown ale, American porter or stout, weissbier, and dunkles wiessbier. This is certainly not an all inclusive list of beer styles that work with Mexican food. I based these choices on the quick turn around required for them to be ready by February 24th.
