Founder's is releasing a very limited brew, Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS). This is their imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels that have been holding Michigan Maple syrup. If you've had their regular Breakfast Stout or Kentucky Breakfast Stout....you know this is worth driving to the brewery to get some.
Details are still being put together, but the general gist is that we will meet up at a agreed upon location Saturday morning. Depart Chicago and make the 3 hour drive to Grand Rapids. Once we get there we will partake in the Founders release party that day (Saturday, October 1st). Kelli is working on getting some rooms within walking distance at the Marriott in town (she gets a discount there). We will imbibe, do dinner, and spend the night in Grand Rapids. Sunday morning we will get up have breakfast and make our way back to Chicago...possibly with stops at other Michigan watering holes like Bell's, Jolly Pumpkin, or some other brewery.
