For the White Labs Tech Talk:
The Importance of Pitch Rates
Did you know that yeast accounts for 2/3 of the qualities in your final beer? Out of the three controls we have in fermentation, your yeast pitching rate should be one of the easiest to manage. Learn about how much to pitch and walk away with a better understanding of the effects of underpitching and overpitching on your beer. Don’t let it intimidate you! Come learn why your pitch rate is essential to making good beer!
Sara Hagerty Bio:
Sara joined White Labs in 2014, bringing her passion for brewing and a love for educating others about it and the science behind it. Sara's homebrewing roots and participation establishing the Hops and Malt Club at UC-San Diego spurred her interest in the craft beer industry as a whole. Sara received her Masters from the University of New Mexico in 2013. Grown on the West Coast but with Midwest roots, Sara is excited to be based in Chicago. Sara loves a good bourbon but when it comes to beer she is always happy with a well balanced IPA.
About the group buy:
At the meeting we will discuss the potential of a group buy for CHAOS. Often time, some of our most popular strains are available only a few months out of the year. Now is your opportunity to discuss what strains out of the catalog you like most and what you as a club would be willing to have White Labs grow up fresh, just for CHAOS!
We hope to see you there!
This looks outstanding - thanks, Nancy!
Looking forward to the meeting. I move in on the 10th so I hope I'll be able to make it, and I'm not too tired from the trip.
I will be there :)
In case you missed the presentation or if you loved the presentation and you want an electronic copy of it, Sara has offered to provide it to you. Just email her and let her know you're a part of CHAOS...
I saw some tweets at https://twitter.com/edussoncom about this event! And it looks so interesting! I would like to invite my company and go there for the next time! We are waiting so much!
