Club Dues Increase January 1, 2020

To our C.H.A.O.S. members:

It’s been more than four years since we’ve increased our membership dues.  In that time we have significantly grown the brew club to include:

  • Expanded and reorganized upstairs club storage

  • Lager fermentation and lagering fridges

  • An upgrade from the old grain mill to a Monster Mill

  • A well-stocked homebrew ingredients store for our members

  • Reinvigorated our clubhouse barrel program

  • Significantly enhanced our brewhouse through remodeling, and other projects

  • Sponsored 1-2 brewing competitions per year, which provide members with the opportunity to brew or co-brew at a professional level and have those beers on tap at local taprooms.

  • Partnered with Daley College to educate new brewers

  • Finally remodeled the bathroom!

  • Handled the inevitable barrage of maintenance and repairs that come with our collaborative and hardworking brewhouse.

  • Partnered with Gnomebrew for free delivery of homebrew supplies

C.H.A.O.S. is committed to maintaining and improving our brewhouse, and continuing to organize quarterly parties, club-only competitions, and all the convenience of our dedicated 24/7 brewhouse. And we have more great plans for the future!

Unfortunately, many of our costs (rent, gas, electricity, etc) continue to increase each year.  As a result, effective January 1, 2020, we will be raising our monthly dues as follows:

We are extremely proud of the impact of our club has on the Chicago homebrewing community.  C.H.A.O.S. has been the jumping off point for members of all experience levels to improve their brewing knowledge and skills, and has even a stepping stone for some members to find employment at professional breweries!

Thanks to all of you for your continued membership. You each make C.H.A.O.S. what it is today. If any of you have questions, please feel free to reach out to any member of the Board.
