I went to the brewhouse

I went to the brewhouse tonight and ate a cheeseburger sitting at the bar, all the while thinking that the only really sensible place for a TV in that room would be where that big mirror is. Then I finished my burger, walked over to the mirror, and wiggled it. It's definitely a separate panel that's only tenuously attached to the rest of the bar, and there's nice trim that extends behind it...

The problem with that, is

The problem with that, is moving the bar to get the mirror out ant the TV in.  Which Chuck has mentioned on several occasion is not going to happen.

Pfft, never say never.

Pfft, never say never.

We have three options:
1. Centered behind/above the bar
2. Angle mount in Northwest corner of room
3. Flush to the North wall above window (swing out mount)

It is great we've discussed options, but until we see how the large screen actually looks and fits, we are just guessing.

As a designer, I'm already editing sick CHAOS video loops in my head, so it's hard to take the it's only for sports with buddies scenario seriously.

I will follow up with some visuals showing the actual dimensions in each position. Once we have selected a final spot, we can purchase the hardware.

Actually seeing it in there,

Actually seeing it in there, the 'where' is pretty clear. Has to be above the window, either right above it or slightly more in the corner

Yeah, the TV will not fit in

Yeah, the TV will not fit in the corner above the bar. The TV would have to come forward to clear the bar (see pic below). I imagine some kind of extendo arm mount might be able to clear the bar, but the TV is pretty heavy.

The TV is only an inch or two taller than the plywood panel on the top of the north wall, so it seems natural to put it up there. Tilt would be nice as it is high up. Swing out would be nice too, basically like a corner mount. Looks like we're spending 50-150 dollars.
