I recall someone at a monthly meeting mentioning that they knew a place to get patches made. Care to chime in? If not, I have a quote request out to an online company for some. I think it would be really cool if we could get a bunch of these made & sell them individually, then you can get your own work shirt to put them on. I'll update this thread once I get the quote back

I have been speaking to Cisko about work shirts with the Chaos logo. He's worked on silk screening in the past and was willing to make some shirts and hats for us. He made the Mikkeller workshirt for them.

That is the proof and quote i received. 3" wide x 2" tall. Minimum order is 100. Cost would be approx $4 each or we could do 2 for $7. Thoughts? A few questions are:
1) Would people prefer iron on or stich on?
2) Pete, if Cisko was doing this instead what would the process be? My thoughts behind just making a patch are that it allows everyone to handle the shirt end on their own instead of CHAOS having to organize anything. What would approx cost be?
3) I just gave them our logo & specified a basic design. Does anyone have other ideas they would like to see proofs of?
Order time is approx 2 weeks so we could have these pretty quickly as well.

i'd pay $10 for 2. i think that proof is just fine. iron on is probably easier as long as we know the quality of the adhesive is good. i havent met too many dudes that can thread a needle and sew anything. thread a pipe...sure. but thats different.

I'm guessing that doing our actual CHAOS wood sign would be too expensive. But, instead of just black-and-white, I'm wondering if we could at least approximate the colors: a yellowish light brown font on a darker brown background?

Alright, sounds like we have enough interest so I'm going to try and get these ordered tomorrow or Monday. Should be 10-14 days until we receive them & then we'll start selling them. We should have some to sell at Stout night as well. They'll be iron on backs but you can always sew it on if you want or if it comes off in the dryer after a bunch of wears.

Just buying the shirts ourselves & putting them on. There's too many color options and sizes for us to waste our time as a group trying to coordinate shirt buys. I'll probably put one on everything i own...
Alright y'all, the patches are on order and we should receive them in 10-14 days. I increased the size a bit after realizing that the original size was less than a credit card. We'll still do the $4 each or 2 for $7 & you'll be able to buy them with cash at any CHAOS event (open house, meeting, etc) or you can send CHAOS a PayPal payment (make sure to cover the fees yourself & note that payment is for patches) and we'll get them to you individually.
As for the shirts, I picked up a Carhartt work shirt at a farm store back home for $25. Online they're $30-35 but they can be found for less I'm sure. Dickies also has a good price & selection right here: http://www.dickies.com/mens-clothing/mens-shirts/Short-Sleeve-Work-Shirt... . The patches will be iron on but can still be sewed if you're the crafty type. I'll post here again once we receive them

You can find work shirts at Unique for 2 bucks. ya just take the old patches off and put the chaos one on it...
