Came in to brew today, and the brew house was in less-than-preferable condition. Glass cups all over the sink, trash (with food in it) not taken out, chiller was full of wort, PBW tub was full, autosiphons & wine thiefs sitting in the star san tub, overall mess. Also, the brew pots aren't like the mash tuns - you actually have to scrub them after brewing instead just rinsing them out.
Look, I get it. If you didn't make the mess, you don't want to clean it up. But this is how it works @ a community space: Leave it better or cleaner than how you found it.
Let's not get lazy, folks.
There were a decent amount of people at the brew house when I stopped by Tuesday evening. I'm surprised it was left in that condition...
I left around 6 with a clean station, those who brewed then know who they are and I'm sure will do better in the future

I'll back what Brandon is saying. I just stopped by yesterday to check on a starter and it was foul! If we want more rats leave a tray of Mac and cheese in the trash over night.
^^^^^^ also open food in the large fridge is a breeding ground for bad bacteria
I'm making an executive decision and instating this policy: If you see open containers of food or liguid in the lager or conditioning fridges, just toss it.
No doubt! Finding a new (used) food refrigerator should be high on the priority list of things to do!
The holiday party had a lot to do with the increased food trash. Chuck and Jennifer did a lot of the clean up; it could have been worse. I wish I was in a better state to have helped more. We need to do better at cleaning up after drunken food fests.
Steven, I can't believe that that was still from the Christmas party. That was on Saturday, Brandon brewed on Wednesday and there have been people in the brewhouse every day since the party.
The emperor is not as forgiving as i am
Hey Bill, I assumed mac and cheese in the trash was from the party; we tend to let leftovers linger too long.
Somebody had a really messy fermentation in the altbier fridge (will not disclose name!). I cleaned up a lot of it, but please FERMENT RESPONSIBLY - use a blow off hose, fermcap, etc. Yuck.
Thanks for taking care of that, Ben. Hopefully you shot the fermentor's perpetrator a text/email !
Hey Bill, I assumed mac and cheese in the trash was from the party; we tend to let leftovers linger too long. I hope I will meet girls from russia. Also, I'm a spammer so my spammy links have been replaced with pictures.
/\ So, have we intiated a rewards system I'm not aware of?
I've noticed a couple of hacker spam posts. Maybe all the Russian Imperial Stout we are brewing has caught someone's attention?
Alex could have at least included a link to some nudie pix...
I've deleted a couple of spammy posts recently
www.singingboysbrewing.com
Well that's a first. As far as I know, we don't have any kind of automatic spam-replacement thing in place. Did someone edit that comment to add the picture?
God bless Russia.
I think the pic was added after I blocked him...?...
His status is still blocked, that's some tricky shit.
Hey Alex, I said NUDE pix; what you got?
I've been nuking spam accounts outright. If you scroll to the bottom when you edit the acount, there's a Cancel Account button. That'll give you the option to delete all their posts/comments, too.
I won't lie - I used my secret editing powers to remove the link and respond to the request.....
... AND?!??!
