January 2015 Board Meeting Minutes

Hi CHAOS, here are the meeting minutes from yesterday. If you are new or were not able to make it, these meetings are open to all members and this is often where we make decisions big and small. Please come and make your voice heard!

Call to order at 4:51 pm

Board members in attendance: Ken, Mark, Matt, Mike, Stephen, Kyle, Jeff, Conrad. Missing Joe and Nancy.

 

Old business:

Cleaning service: Mark has set up the cleaning service for 1x a week for 3 hours/visit. They will take out garbage, sweep, mop, wipe down all horizontal surfaces with PBW solution, and general tidiness. Mark will have them add wiping down/tidying the general bar area as well. As of right now, the cleaning service will not touch the ferm room.

Note to all members: This cleaning service in no way replaces your own personal cleanliness. Members are still required to clean up after themselves every time they are in the brew house.

 

Mark will also get another quote for pest control.

 

 

New business:

Immersion chiller troubles: IC has had trouble leaking at the connections. Kyle looked into the IC and found it to work fine after some adjustment. If we have more issues we may have to look into alternative connections.

 

Tankless water heater: Needs to be lowered and exhaust adjusted. If Chuck has time,maybe this weekend, more likely in February.

Ferm room shelving.

 

NHC 2016 June: Start thinking of a theme. Some people may be driving. Look for a stickied thread in general to follow.

 

Build Day 2016: Stephen lane is lead for this. Focus will be on front bar area. Stephen will lay out 2 color designs which will be two-toned like it is now. Add drink ledge to East wall. Matt will do decorative staves on front wall. Voted yes for maximum $750 budget.

 

Ferm room is overcrowded. We will need to buy and place heavy duty shelving. Best to have 1 person take care of this and get it done.

S&CN 2016

 

Each person making chili should make between 3-4 gallons as last year we ran out.

Bring chili in a stockpot instead of crock pot.  We will serve them out of aluminum serving trays with sterno.

CHAOS will refund you up to $40/chili. Please save receipts.

We will need a playlist Inside and outside between band sessions.

We'll put out tip jars.

Mark will look into raffle license with city

Conrad will follow up on our shirts.

Matt will look into obtaining actual glass tasters.

 

 

Mike and James will purchase 2 Tuesday brewsday kegs for the club.
