Thermometer is not functioning

The main thermometer is out, displaying crazy numbers or error message. There’s a simple one on station 3 that I tested off of the fridge and fermenter room that seems accurate, so that should work for now.

Time for new batteries? Or is it time for a new probe attachment?  I seem to remember there was a similar issue a while back.  Rich Rawlings were you part of the solution last time?

This has happened three times

This has happened three times before, this is the fourth.  Yes, check batteries first and then hook up a new probe - we have an extra probe, a very short one, but its good for checking to see if the probe is the issue.

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure where the extra probe is, it used to sit on top of the shelf above the thermometer's home, by the first aid kit, but I don't know if its still there or put away somewhere else.

I will be at the brewhouse

I will be at the brewhouse later this morning for some packaging, and will check to see if I can find the extra short probe and check if that solves the problem.  If it does, then Ben can order another long probe.

I haven't replaced the

I haven't replaced the battery yet, but it's definitley the unit and not the probe. I swapped the unit out with our back up, so we're good to go.
