If anyone is interested in a used 5 gallon rum barrel I can get them for $95 + shipping. They are coming from Old Sugar Distillery in Wisco. I can get them through John who we order through for bulk hops. He has them on HBT for $110 but will give us a discount. They are the same barrels that I aged my big ass stout in and the same as the 10 gallons that are at the brew house.

Koval is local and I've seen them unloading what looked like the larger 55 gallon barrels. That size would be good for a group brew.
I was at first interested (saw his posting on facebook and talked to him about it, he said he was negotiating with you). But it just seems too high when I remember what I paid for the 10 gal. Also, I'm getting real interested in trying to find a big 55 gallon and would rather save my money for that. Just sent a message to Koval.
It's available whenever the distillery is done with the barrels. Usually a few times a year. He does let me know when they are available.
