Attention Home Brewers and Home Brew Clubs…..
 
The Marseilles Area Society of Home brewers (M*A*S*H) would like to invite you to pour your clubs beers at the City of Ottawa’s Home Brew Festival at Midwest Morel Fest on May 3rd.  There will be no commercial beers, just lovely home brew.

Hi!  Just a post begging people to come out tonight before wing night and grab a pour of some Exodus or Bourbon Barrel Barleywine.  We have the owner/brewer out here and I'd like there to be at least a semi-decent turn out.  Exodus, their barrel-aged flanders on cherries, rarely makes it outside the brewery and it's looking doubtful that BBL Barleywine is going to make it to Chicago via package this year.  Come get a few drinks!~

AHA Conference registration is open. They are doing a lottery system this year.  Although, they indicated that they have released 20% more tickets this year and will only use the lottery if more tickets are requested than tickets available.  To apply follow the link below:

Solidarity Presents Darkside

Return to the Darkside! Solidarity's 2nd annual celebration to arcade gaming and stygian brews returns to Emporium Arcade Bar on Sunday February 23 at 12:00pm. The beer list is nothing short of spectacular from breweries ranging from the very local to nationally renowned. And the gaming is an awesome combination of throwbacks and newer titles. Games+brews= Awesomeness!
$25 ticket includes beer samples, a sack of tokens for gaming, and some swag. Additional tokens and full pints can be purchased throughout the event.

Two Brothers' "Midwestern Death Metal" Release Party

Good afternoon,

I’m writing today to introduce myself as the Communications & Events coordinator for Two Brothers Brewing Company. We have a really exciting limited release event coming up at the end of the month and I wanted to personally extend an invitation to your organization and members.

We are releasing a very limited brew, Midwestern Death Metal, Sunday February 23rd at our Cabin Fever Party at the Two Brothers Tap House. Midwestern Death Metal is an imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with espresso.

Congrats to Nancy and Jeff for taking second and 3rd place respectively in the Vanilla category of the extract competition. The were up against 21 other entries!

I would also like to thank Nancy for stewarding the competition and a huge thanks to Jeff for helping to organize the competition. Thanks to Will for maintaining the competition website . You guys made it run very smoothly. (And no I did not rig it in their favor)

The competition earned the club $800. Nielsen Massey was very happy with the competition and is interested in doing it again. Success all around!
