Hey everyone, CHAOS is currently looking for someone to take the reigns as the Social Media/PR director. Responsibilities include keeping our Facebook and Twitter account active, making sure all events are publicized, & just being awesome at social media and active within CHAOS in general. It really is as simple as tweeting & Facebooking about CHAOS to keep us on people's minds a few times per week. If you're interested or have any questions just shoot me a PM & we can talk more. Thanks!
When I dropped off my beer last night, I found the bathroom alley door unlocked. There were no footprints in the snow, so it must have been unsecured since, at least, early afternoon of yesterday.
Ken Getty let me know that the pipes were frozen last night when he went to the brewhouse to bottle. That doesn't bode well. Thought I'd let our more pipe-knowledgeable members know (couch, Chuck). I suppose that would have been a major advantage to having hot water installed.
Does anyone have a propane or kerosene heater they'd be interested in loaning out to the club for our event on Saturday night? We have a few, but we're going to need a few more!
I wasn't sure which forum to put this in, so I put it in General to attract the most eyeballs. As everyone knows, we have a multitude of barrels at the brewhouse, and the barrel aging program is one of the coolest parts of CHAOS. One of my friends will shortly be in possession of a freshly-emptied custom Few Spirits rye barrel, and he has generously volunteered to lend it to CHAOS for a group barrel brew. So, 2 questions:
1) Are we (as a club) interested in putting together another awesome barrel-aged beer?
We have five of us who have volunteered to clean up on Sunday at 11:00am but are still looking for two more volunteers. In order to get the continued support of the residents up front, who allow us to use the yard for events, we need to make sure this is done promptly & thoroughly.
If you're able to volunteer please reply.
Also of note to is that event clean up can count as 1 of your 3 brew sessions when applying for 24 hour access.
Just a reminder that next week is our Wing Marathon. If you are planning on showing up to any sessions, please check off that you will be attending in the event page so we can have a head count to give the bars.
