I've ordered another round of CHAOS taster glasses. They are the very same 5 oz. tasters we ordered back in October 2011 for Ides of Cider (see photo below).
They should arrive before Stout Night so you can get them there. Or, let me know in this thread how many you want and I will bring them to the next monthly meeting. $4/glass.
Please RSVP for the blending session if you plan on participating. If the majority f people who brewed can not attend, I will cancel SUnday's event and reschedule.
You may have noticed that the brewhouse was closed for a private event on Friday night, which was a private class request from a bachelorette party. Jim did a great job of setting everything up for the 15 ladies & hosting the class with Lucas, who also brewed what they were able to sample while learning how to brew. Great job and many thanks Jim & Lucas!
Jim & Lucas, feel free to share any information about the class (overall impressions, lessons learned, etc) here if you'd like. Thanks again guys!
Someone visiting CHAOS on Friday asked if we could save her bottlecaps (plain are okay; ones from actual brew are better): she makes magnets out of them so blank bottle caps are rather plain, different designs are better. At every monthly meeting I will collect them and get them to her (or, better yet, ask her to come join the meeting and get them).
Hi all. I am currently scheduled to do my first brew at 7:30 on Thursday, December 13. I can do about any night that week if someone is willing to sponsor me. Iggy has said he might be able to help if it's earlier, but I would like to start a little later if anyone can. Thanks.
Just wanted to let everyone who was at our last meeting that it turns out you were right. I brought my pumpkin beer upstairs out of the basement after 3.5 weeks and it finally carbonated in the warmer temperatures! And is delicious...much appreciated. Thanks everybody for you suggestions.
