If anyone is interested in helping out a startup brewpub just click on the linky link. Brad is a friend of mine/homebrewer/CHAOS web member/CHAOS business partner (Rockwell's) so this seems like the perfect forum for interested eyes. They were also the winner of the Stone/Two Brothers Iron Brew competition with their Dayman Coffee IPA, which will be distributed nationally by Stone in 2013. Location isn't 100% finalized but the place they're looking at is in West Loop/University Village if that makes a difference.
If anyone out there in CHAOS land knows how to prepare tax forms, please let me know. When we applied for our EIN number we were told that we need to submit Form 1120 by 11/15/2012. I've filed for an extension (one, because we're still waiting on our 501(c)3 determination; two, after downloading about a dozen different schedules and forms referenced on the 1120, my head's spinning, I have no freakin' clue what's going on). But, we will have to complete some kind of tax forms at some point.
"Homebrewers, enter The Great Coffee Beer Challenge before it's too late!
Big Shoulders is offering a bag of Colombian coffee beans as brewing ingredients to those of you interested in entering into our competition. Each participant would need to drop off 12, 12-ounce bottles of their coffee homebrew to our shop by December 2.
Each entrant with up to two guests are welcome to attend the judging where they'll get to taste other beer entries on Tuesday, December 4, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
I recall someone at a monthly meeting mentioning that they knew a place to get patches made. Care to chime in? If not, I have a quote request out to an online company for some. I think it would be really cool if we could get a bunch of these made & sell them individually, then you can get your own work shirt to put them on. I'll update this thread once I get the quote back
