Ides killed all the CO2! I was planning on filling one up today but the place we use closes at 5pm. Anyone have a co2 tank I can borrow tonight? Ill throw you a few bucks and return it tomorrow!! need the regulator too.
Saw this article on MSN today, thought I'd share here. Interesting article on female brewers and equally interesting or perhaps entertaining is a better word to describe the "comment war" that follows it.
Does anyone have any experience with making mead? I'd like to brew a batch. Ive never even tried mead but it sounds interesting. Also does anyone know a place in chicago where I could try mead. Looks like there is a meadery called Wild Blossom Wines that is in Chicago. http://wildblossomwines.com/. I'd be interested in getting a good recipe if anyone has one.
After scrounging around on HBT for a while, I'm turning to the infinitely wiser group here at CHAOS. I was thrown into kegging for Ides a couple weeks ago and now that I have a regulator and tank I'm thinking about going up to kegging full-time. Only thing is my space is limited so I'm looking for a mini-fridge, no freezer, that can hold 2-3 5 gal. kegs. Any suggestions?
This looks awesome. ANYONE can enter. Looks like you can enter as many beers as you want; you can even enter your crappiest beer ever!
Basically two 10-14 oz. bottles constitutes an entry; $7/entry. Entries can be dropped off at a number of locations (including Brew & Grow on Kedzie/Addison or at Haymarket itself) between October 10th-21st.
We all should take a shot at it!!
Find attached the information (including official entry labels for your bottles and an entry form).
