Anyone interested in going to Sheffields tomorrow for the revolution takeover? It's a buy the beer and keep a sweet Rev Brewing stein dealio. I'll probably go for a few at the beginning of the night.
This one night, practical, tasting-based workshop on off-flavors will be beneficial for judges, prospective judges, brewers, servers and anyone who wants to learn to identify common flaws (and where they come from) and enhance their ability to evaluate beer. This is especially helpful to homebrewers, as our ability to critically taste the beers we brew is directly related to improving our beers.
I seem to have lost a keg - 5 gallon ball lock corny with red rubber on top. It had my name and number on it. I haven't used it for a while, maybe a year, things have gotten shuffled around quite a bit, and I couldn't find it. Has anyone seen it?
If not, would anyone be willing to loan me a keg? I need to keg up the cider for Hugh's wedding on Saturday and I'd return the keg the following Sunday (a week later). Thanks.
I just wanted to gauge interest on a group bike ride to 3 Floyds from downtown. We'd meet @ Monroe harbor and head south from there (we'd be taking the LakeShore path anyways, so it's pointless to meet at the brewhouse). Meetup spot below:
Does anyone here have an acoustic guitar they are neglecting that I might be able to borrow for a little bit? Trying to float my daughter into non-school-band music but like children are wont to do, she is fleeting and I would prefer to not have to sink too much money into something she might not attach to. I would make sure the instrument is well cared for.
Would be a few month loan, payable in beer, if desired.
So the door at the top of the stairs is locked again. I don't know where we keep the key to open the door. If someone knows where that's at please post so someone can reach out to you. Don't post on the forum where we keep the key.
I'm planning to brew the beer formerly known as a Bohemian Pilsner and will do a decoction mash. In doing a little research on this, it looks like an initial infusion at 148F, first decoction at 158, second decoction at 168 is pretty standard. Does that make sense or do you have experience with other decoction schedules that you like to use?
While sipping on Brandon's White IPA tonight, we discussed potentailly doing a pigskin pickem pool. I'm putting up this message to guage interest and see if we can get enough people in a pool to make it fun and interesting. Some quick bullets explaining how it will work below:
- Every week you look at 16 NFL matchups and pick a team that you think will win. If you pick the correct team, you'll get some points
- You also rank how confident you are in a team beating another team...16 for most confident; 1 for least. All this factors into your overall point total.
