I stopped by this morning before work to make a starter for my beer tomorrow and we have no cold water. I checked everything I could with the time I had but couldn't figure it out. Did someone turn off a valve that they shouldn't have turned off yesterday? I tried turning on the water that would go into the chiller also and had no pressure.
I am a new brewer member - @Stevebrew and I would like to brew our 2nd batch on Sunday 6/4 before the event. We brewed our first batch at Chaos last week and (Jim Vondracek was kind enough to supervise us). In addition, we will be kegging for the first time.
Is anyone available to supervise us around 11am-noon on Sunday? I believe that we can finish everything in 3.5-4 hours.
I know with Metropolitan coming Sunday there is a lot going on at the brewhouse but hoping some of you guys can make it Saturday for our Distiller's Beer Workshop. should only take about 2-3 hours and most of the education part will be the first 2 hours with the last hour just being pitching and clean up. We will also bring samples of different cuts and talk about the blending of the cuts.
Saturdays grain bill.
44lbs of Flaked Corn
15lbs of 6 row Pale Malt
10lbs of flaked Rye
expecting to make about 20-25 gallons of Distiller's beer
since it looks like it may rains quiet a bit tomorrow, I wante dto use some palletes to make a stage for the band to play. If you see any, please DM me or, if possible, bring to the brew house.
Hey everyone, I've got two totally awesome posters for the History of Mexican beer school we are doing for the Cerveza party but am looking for a good way to display them. Does anyone have an easel or something that can be used to hold up posters? They are 20x30. Additionally does anyone have a large amount of cardboard we can tack/tape these too to provide a nice backboard so they arent flopping all over the place?
