Omega Yeast Generously donated some yeast to CHAOS. The yeast is all in the fridge upstairs - it's free for use to education sessions Tuesday / Sunday and classes. $5 to members for private use - just toss the money in the honor bucket and list the use in the log upstairs. Enjoy, and thanks Omega!
At last months meeting a few people voiced that they would like to see Chaos members enter more competitions. I had two ideas about getting people to enter more
Everyone... please be mindful of everyone and don't leave open food out anywhere at Chaos. Don't get me wrong your chocolate chip cookies and potato chips were prob great. Leaving them out in the open and not sealed though, kind of defeats one of the issues we are trying to fix. Even if it's just for a day, that's to long to be just sitting out. Sorry if it sounds brash but it can't happen.
For those of you who missed the event page, our own Reed has arranged for us a private tour of the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse with Reed, a brewer and barrel master at Goose Island. Reed will talk us through the process of transporting beer to the warehouse (oopsie daisy), then the process of filling, monitoring, blending, and packaging the products for sale. Plus he will likely talk about some of the experiments that Goose is doing with barrels.

While the guys were fixing rat holes and painting up the place I decided to help my organizing and cleaning up the bar area. The office stuff was taking up a very useful shelve so I moved all that stuff to under the computer desk. The bar glass ware can now be found on those shelves located by the washroom. please clean your glass when done and stack it up. Behind the bar is now exclusively for food prep stuff.
While the folks were fixing rat holes and painting I figured I would help out by cleaning and organizing the bar. Now that we have the computer desk I moved all the "office stuff" under it and use those nice shevles for our bar glasses.
