Hey guys, Rev is selling off some 2nd use barrels on the cheap. Is there any interest in getting one or do we have plenty of whiskey barrels for the time being?
If we went through witht he purchase, we would need someone to coordinate pickup of the barrel, and we'd also need our barrel master to start prepping a barrel project. Have we ever done a barleywine before?
Hey did anyone grab a Samsung phone charger from the brewhouse last night? I last saw it right before the bus trip group came back and then it was gone. Could be someone accidentally grabbed it or moved it behind the bar. If you saw it/stashed it/grabbed it, please let me know. It was a black USB 3.0 phone charger.
I am going to be at the Brewhouse Saturday at 9am to clear out our mechanical closet in preperation of the water heater and pressure pump install on Sunday. I could use a pair hand on both days to help me move stuff up stairs on Saturday and wrestle the water heaters on Sunday.
I grew hops but I'm too lazy to pick them, so you if you want them they're yours. They are ready to havest NOW. Saaz and Spalt varieties.

Now, please stop by the brew house on Sunday the 9th to help clean up. No brewing resumes until we're back in order. I'll be there around 2. There's tons of beer and food left for the Sunday clea ingredients crew!
I tried to find the original post about the new mash tuns with no avail.
Just wanted to say thanks for the new mash tuns! These things are legit.... As someone who checks the mash temperature several times during the mash, these new tuns hold temps SUBSTANTIALLY better than the old ones. Plus they're incredibly lighter due to not being water-logged.
For those that check efficientcy, I wouldn't doubt you'd see an uptick in yours using these new tuns.
