Hey all I have 2 empty 20lb CO2 tanks that I am going to donate to the club. I bought them a few years back but I never started kegging and they just sat around. I don't know much about the kegging/co2 process so these guys may not even be any good anymore, but if someone wants to check them out and see if they are usable, CHAOS can use them on the keezer or whatever we need them for.
A few of us who live or work in the loop and River North have talked about getting together for happy hour at Monk's Pub (205 W Lake, right at Wells). James and I were talking about going this coming Monday, the 25th. Anybody want to join us?
So we clearly got spammed in the past day or two; lots of the usual automation posts (hackers have programs that crawl webpages trying to create things like this)...
This makes me worried about our web security. Personal information is stored on our site. I hope credit card info is not (should not be: what company handles our credit card info?).
Anyway, might be time to have chaos "nerd" meet up and figure out some website stuff. I'm an online security professional so this falls right in my wheelhouse, but we'll need someone who knows our code to help me out.
I will be starting the kettle souring process on Thursday night for the summer BBQ sours. I will be distributing the soured (but sterile) wort on Sunday for a souring process of about 60 hours.
Anyone who wants to get a 3 gallon share of wort let me know and show up on Sunday.
The board would like to take an inventory of the fermenters stored at the brewhouse. Last week, I re-arranged some of the fermenters stored above the barrels, to make room for three new barrels, and noticed some were not labeled with names and some were for folks who are no longer members or in Chicago. Sort of like the inventory Brock and I did in the ferm room, its good to occasionally go through and cull/organize things, to maximize our use of the space we have.
