I'm looking to brew my 3rd supervised brew next Friday. It will be my beer for the Goose Island home brew club. Sounds like we are brewing a black IPA this time. I am currently signed up for around 4pm, but could do it earlier in the day as well if anyone would be available. I'm looking forward to getting this 3rd beer done and becoming a "full member"!!
There was a Blichmann beer gun in a walgreens bag lying on the floor in front of my storage spot this morning. It is now on the top shelf of my storage spot next to my keg.
We'll also be posting the historical financial reports for review with some notes.
Some of the party income hits here because money from paypal and stripe take a few days to clear into our bank account. This was our very last free rent month. We also purchased $1400 worth of new and shiny. In December we expect to have the last payment on our new table.
We're trying to be a bit more transparent as a executive team to the entire membership. To that end, financial reports will now be published here monthly. If anyone has any questions or interest in these, please comment below, thanks!
For December 2015 we had expenses exceeding revenues for two reasons, planned capital purchases and we paid a month ahead on our rent. On an operating basis, we were cash positive to a small degree. The furnace will also help reduce operating expenses this winter.
Tried yesterday and I would not open. Mark had to come let me in via his bluetooth app. Not sure who's got access, but maybe we should start by reprogramming the code?
Thought it would be fun to do one of these threads for Chaos.
Homebrewtalk has had one of these threads for a while, and they ended up with about 31,000 gallons last year. I'm not as interested in the gallon count, so much as I think it would be a good way to keep up with what everyone is brewing or working on around Chaos.
No brews for me yet this year, who can start us off?
Someone's beer beer gushed over and the cap was on the floor. The tag was stuck to the floor face down with the cap. I tried soaking it off, but the only clear thing I could make out was "Stewpid". Lived up to it's name I guess. I cleaned up what was in the walkway and put the cap back on. Might want to use a blowoff for the next one.
I've amassed a very, very modest collection of beers that I'm keeping and not opening merely out of fear that it might be a beer to trade for something "better"; or that it might be something to hang onto longer and drink later instead of now. I'm going to have significantly more space in our new house to store/cellar beer and so I might dabble a bit in collecting beers.
