Two things--1) I'm in need of about 3 corny kegs. Anyone selling? I could get them from you at this weekend's party if you're available. If not, I'll probably just go grab some from B&G. Oh well.
I have been systematically recycling and collecting bottles for over the last year and now I have way too many. At least 200 single 12oz bottles. Before I put them out with the recycling, I wanted to give CHAOS the chance to use them. Let me know and I'll bring some by the brewhouse.
Stopped by the brewhouse to clean and test a keg and noticed that the co2 tank connected to the keezer is out. The other tank was empty too it felt like. All the psi guages were at zero on thetank and in the keezer. I think that may mean there is a leak on the tank side, but not sure. If anyone was carbing still, it may not be.
When trying to carb my beer for cerveza, I noticed that I am missing my 5lb tank and dual regulator. I was at the house earlier and did not see it there. The last time I saw it was at Stout and Chili night.
If you've borrowed it, please let me know so I can have my beer ready for the party.
Ok, so I don't have clearence from my lovely bride to get a kegerator (yet...) but she gave me the all clear to get a kegging kit so that I can start brewing batches for family events, like July 4th. I'm quickly moving into territory I know nothing about.
1) Does anyone have a good webiste/doc that explains the kegging process?
2) Does anyone have suggestions on what pieces I need to get started and where to get these items?
This is still a couple months out, but is anyone planning on going to the Chicago Ale Fest? http://chicagoalefest.com I'm debating whether I want to spend $50 on another beer fest. Well, $45: Untappd sent me a $5 promo code, and it wouldn't be right to post it here, but I'll bet you can guess it.
On a very rare moment watching local news (Fox local), i caught a segment that featured the Logan Blvd brew club and and new business plan for home brewers to make money off the beer recipes There's a kickstarter going for it, but the plan, as I understand it, is for people to post recipes on a website, and if people buy kits from the site for the recipe, the brewer gets a cut. I have a few thoughts but would love to hear other views.
