I bottled with an apprentice on Sunday afternoon, we were the first ones there, and the brewhouse was in an unacceptable state. Here is a partial list of what we took care of before starting our session:
Hey everyone! My friend has one extra tix for the Michigan Winter Beer Fest coming up on the 28 of Feb. If you, or anyone you know is looking for a tix, please hit me up. Price is 60$
And if your reading this, and on the fence about going....go! It's the best beer fest I've ever been to.
that's right, I said it, better than FOBAB. suck it:)
Thank you very much to whoever placed my yellow cardboard "odds and ends" box on top of the lockers under the heater. I haven't brewed in the last few months, so Lord knows how long that thing was back there. I appreciate it. Two things were missing, my refractometer and oxgenation stone. I know it's my fault for forgetting this stuff at the brew house and not realizing it until months later. I'm fine with eating the loss. However, if anyone does know anything about where they might be, or who their temporary owners are, I'd appreciate it.
Good morning everyone. I'm doing a big brew tonight and realized this morning I am one primary carboy short. I forgot one of mine broke a little while back and I haven't replaced it yet.
Do any of you know, for certain, you will have an extra, unused carboy for the next week? I'll have it racked and clean by next weekend. Thanks in advance.
Handful of negative stuff online about this site because it is really cheap. I just ordered some stuff to add to my jockey box for more taps. Everything was very cheap. I ordered it late Monday and it arrived today. Great quality. I got 2 perlick flow control faucets ss for 39 a piece. A six way distributor 40 something. Gas and liquid corny post 2.99 brand new corny lid 20. I was skeptical to order because of what I read but I figured I would be covered by credit card. Experience was great and quality too. I will defiantly order again.\
The lights in the fermroom aren't turning on. The bulbs are good, I took them out and tested them in another socket. The sensor has a red light flashing on it. Any ideas?
I am a relatively new member (1.5 months) and haven't had time to come in because of work. I finally have a Monday off for presidents day, and was wondering if any Brewers were planning on spending their holiday brewing some beer. Please let me know so I can come in and hopefully brew my first batch.
Hi Chaos. I'm getting into kegging and purchased a kegerator (FBR200) that came w/ a regulator and 2.5 lb tank. I filled the tank, have some beer in a keg, and connected everything last night. The regulator has a round knob to control the PSI (which is different than the normal flat head screw that I've seen while researching) and it won't go below about 19 PSI. When I turn the knob lower and lower, it eventually starts unscrewing the main bolt that's attached to the regulator. When I turn it higher and higher, the PSI increases then eventually the tank/regulator makes a very high pres
Hi all! I'm new to Chicago from CA where I used to homebrew routinely. We had a pretty big setup (see https://vimeo.com/114998101 and https://vimeo.com/15286293 ) and usually did all-grain brewing. I had to hand the system off to some friends when I left the state (it doesn't exactly fit in my new apartment) but I'm looking forward to getting back into it!
