CHAOS has some great events coming up, and anytime we have some guests come over, its time to clean up.
We have the Lagunitas shootout on Saturday, and then we are hosting both Lagunitas and the judging panel on Tuesday. Lets get together and bring the brew house to a showing condition receive our guests.
We are looking for a few good volunteers to get the job done. We are looking to get this done between thursday evening and Saturday morning.
Who is in??
igz - hot box, office, general cleanup Thursday, Friday
The brew house access, barrel aging projects, and group events are awesome and I hope to see even more of them in the future, but one of my biggest goals in joining the club was to improve the quality of my beer. I see at least two ways to do that through CHAOS
1) Getting more experienced brewers to taste my beers and provide suggestions for improvement
2) Learning more about detecting and diagnosing issues so that I can be a better critic of my own beer
Ok, thought I'd offer this up to the list, prior to CL 1. Old standard fridge almond whitish with freezer on top. Not sure of dimensions, but can definitely fit 4 cornies in it. Works fine, gets cold and all that. 50 bucks. Thats what comed will give me to trade it out, so first 50bucks and its yours.
I'm kinda annoyed with beer categories. Most beers I find interesting straddle 2 or 3 categories, but you have to play within the lines if you want to compete.
I work at The House of Glunz, a wine shop on Division and Wells, and because of tastings and other events we always have empty wine bottles. I don't know how many of you make wine or could use wine bottles but let me know if you need any and you can just stop by and pick them up. I think right now we have about 2 cases worth of empties.
