Does anyone know where I could get cheap plastic or glass carboys? $27 for a plastic carboy at my local homebrew shop just seems like an outrageous price to pay for something that probably costs around 2 bucks to manufacture.
From a member of Nordeast Brewers Alliance in Minneapolis, MN. One of their founders contacted me/us regarding our pop-up dinner at Leopold; another of their founders has now extended an invitation to us for this event. He says:
Over the weekend someone gave me a heavy duty bottle capper (the kind that is about 3 feet tall and is meant to be bolted into some flat surface). Thinking about leaving it at the brew house. Do we already have a nice capper there?
De-labeled bottles are like homebrewer porn to me as I'm sure it is to you other bottlers. So, if you're too big of a loser to keg your beer (myself included), this was just posted to Pipeworks facebook wall:
CHAOS recently turned 1 this last Saturday. We celebrated by sharing beers crafted by our members at the Brew Springteen event. Thank you to everyone that has made this club as big and strong as it is...in such a short time.
We also have a few birthdays today as well. Ed and Evan are both huge parts of the club - raise a pint to these guys. And, if you see one of these guys...buy them a birthday beer.
