Here brewing today and the internet was down again. It connected fine to the router (Chaos_5GZz) but it didn't have an internet connection. I tried to power it down for 10ish minutes but I had no luck.
However, I did figure out that our ATT&T modem doubles as a router as well! And it works great. Below is the login info (also wrote it on the SSID paper by the fire extinguisher). Not sure why the other router is acting up. Also, I found it quite peculiar that when I shut off the power to the router/modem, the SSID of "Chaos_5GHz" stayed on the whole time.
I'm going Wednesday after work to a tapping of Around the Bend's latest offering - Vera, a pistachio cream ale. Its at Riverview Tavern, 1958 W. Roscoe, starts at 6 pm.
You're welcome to come hang with me and get our mid-week beer-thang on. Anyone else planning on going? I'll be the guy drinking beer.
I want to thank CHAOS and it's its members fit for allowing Julene and I too have our wedding party at the brewhouse. We had a mist awesome time, as well I think as all who showed up
We were at the brewhouse to make sure everything was back in working order and it is.
If there is anything we missed please let me know and I will be down to fix it.
There comes a time in every man's life where he has to do the right thing. I am going to do this right thing by shilling for a major corporation.
Struck and I have been in cahoots with Goose for some educational events for a while now, and they just dropped us this line:
Hey James,
Dropping the info about the BCBS Decon class below. If anybody from Chaos is interested, they just need to call B&G to reserve a spot. Should be a super informational session and, while it probably goes without saying, we’d love to have you guys join.
Cerveza de Mayo is typically the Chaos hop school party. And as somebody who brews an absurd amount of hoppy beers, Jeff W has asked me to put together the "syllabus" for the party.
So here goes. The class will focus around the big dumb IPA.
We will be walking through the history of the IPA with a list of beers which very roughly tracks the history of hoppy beers, and, more importantly, the evolution of their flavors. By and large, the flavors present here should come as no surprise to the average home brewer.
Hi Chaos. I purchased the Goose Island kit and someone picked it up for me and gave it to me on Saturday. I threw the yeast in the fridge and the hops in the freezer, but never had time to label either because our bus was leaving. My hops are now missing. 1oz Magnum and 1 oz Tettenang. I have another bag of hops on the freezer (for a different brew) and it's labeled and I just grabbed my yeast. Does anyone know what happened to my hops?
I just wanted to formely say thank you to Chaos Brew Club. My wife and I are moving to Madison, Wi this week. I can't say enough about this club. I have been a member for almost 5 years and have met so many great people and have learned so much. Though I will no longer be a paying member I will keep an eye out on the club's website for the quarterly parties and other events and hope to still attend some throughout the year so I can keep in touch. Hopefully I'll find a good brewclub in Madison. Cheers to everyone in Chaos!
