I donated some beer for Harvestfest and with it my keg, regulator, and CO2 tank. I went by the brewhouse yesterday to pick up my equipment, my keg was still in the keezer, but I could not find my regulator or CO2 tank. I remember my regulator was having some issues and was hoping if anyone knew where all the regulators/tanks would be kept.
That was an awesome article by Montoro in the Reader. He writes very favorably about us!
But, when representing the club, please point people in the direction of members who can answer specific questions. I cringed when I read "modest" increase in membership since last Brew BQ at one point in his article. The numbers he got were all low by my records (esp. Friend which currently clocks in at 90+; Brewer is 70+).
I brewed a strong dark Belgian three weeks ago that appears stalled. I hit the 1084 OG target and pitched Wyeast 1388. It blew-out initially , but when I racked it to secondary, it was still at 1030, and had a small cake layer for a big beer.
I've gone to a couple events and I'd like to buy a membership, but I accidentally added multiple memberships to my shopping cart. Is there any way to remove a couple of them?
So...is there any interest for this Thursday or because we've got the party this weekend and everything else...should I reschedule for a different week?
Board game night this Thursday, brew house. More info on the Event in the calendar. I'll bring a bunch of games, feel free to bring ones you like. You bring a beer to share, I'll bring the pizza! link to the event -
I'd like to get some guidance on the proper way to ferment, condition, and carbonate a beer. It seems like everyone on the internet has different techniques and I would like some input from the club. I usually ferment in a primary fermentor for 10 days then transfer it to the secondary and keep it in the secordary for at least 3 weeks depending on when i can make it back to the brewhouse to bottle/keg (on an average gravity beer). If kegging, I simply rack it to the keg and force carbonate it.
Stout Night is coming up…I don't know, sooner or later (can't find it on the calendar), and I'd like to brew for it sooner rather than later.
Since I wasn't around for any previous ones: how stout-y are we talking? Is it stout across the board, or are all styles more-or-less represented like at other parties?
