My girlfriend and I attended an open house at Chaos a few months back and there was a woman that was bottling for her boyfriend and applying labels and my girlfriend learned that the person had a design background. Now, my girlfriend has a design idea, and would like to talk with and potentially collaborate with her.
I am new member that has been attending events but has has yet to brew in the house for reasons both in and beyond my control. But fuck it, i want to brew.
Does anyone want to be a brew buddy on a weeknight next week? I'm going to brew a Saison. I have a chemsitry/laboratory background, so I be wont be an complete newbie to the processes and saftey measures. But it will be only be my second all-grain attempt, so I'll apprecate some (potential) hand-holding.
My availabilty is very open (but no midnight starts crazy people)
I originally thought this would be a good idea for a class but, on the other hand, it might just make for a good online discussion:
What with all the "coveted" beer talk for the Fantasy Football draft and Kyle unloading a bunch of his cellar, it made me realize that I don't know craft beer well at all. I'd like to learn (in no particular order):
It was my understanding besides the chiller plate hiccup we also had a problem keeping beer in the lines cool if it was not being continuously served, with the beer getting warm if it sat. My suggestion for a solution, or really just to get the solution discussion started, comes from my research in keezer building and not my own experience with it, so there may be better ways, but one method that folks use to keep lines cool that may work for us is to stuff them all in a large PVC pipe which would then split to smaller pipes going to each tap and then filling that full of expanding foam.
I've brewed some beer for my sister's wedding but am a little behind schedule. I ususally bottle my beer but in order to get a wit packaged in time I'm going to borrow a corney keg from Pete. I'm still in need of a picnic tap and CO2 tank, however. I'm wondering if anyone has any spare tanks and taps they'd be willing to lend me for the weekend of August 17th. It'd be much apprciated and I'll return the tank with a full fill of CO2. Let me know if you can help out.

I will not be able to make to the brewhouse before 4pm on Saturday. I have my son all week. Could someone put my keg on to carb? It is in the ferm room with bright green duct tape accross the handle. Duct tape has 'do no tap - wheat - canuck' written on it. This is for the wheat school.
