I was going to help someone carb their beer last night but we noticed that the keezer was out of CO2. Also it seems to be somewhat warm in the keezer. The controller may need to be adjusted.
I was in the ferm room last night (Tues, 10/8) and saw a few blow-off containers spilling onto the floor. If you have brewed recently I recommend that you stop by asap to check on your fermenter.
See below from Jenny at Rhine Hall. Contact her directly if you're interested in volunteering to help them press apples, and getting some free Cider in return. (I have asked her to confirm how much Cider you could expect)
I am cooking sausages and stuffing for the harvest fest party. I would like to make the stuffing out of spent grain and then use second runnings from same beer to sweeten the stuffing. If anyone is brewing Thursday the 9th or Friday the 10th and you want to donate some grains and less fermentable wort let me know. Ideally it would be from a lighter to medium colored beer (no hops yet either). I would have to pick up directly from you as I don't have the passcode. If I can't get it is not a big deal, I will make some at home.
Hey everyone, I am co-organizer for a SW Michigan Beer Day Tour on Saturday 10/25. Transportation to/from the city and lodging arrangements are your own responsiblity. Cost if we fill the charter bus is $45/pp which includes charter for the day and amenities on the bus (snacks, ice, coolers, etc). We will spend time at Bell's, Dark Horse, Arcadia, and some possible "free" time in downtown Kalamazoo to check out other places. Tour leaves from McCamly Plaza hotel in Battle Creek.
Hi everyone. A bunch of us did a Chaos button down work shirt buy (kinda like a mechanic shirt) in May/June. I totally dropped the ball and didn't follow up with picking mine up. It's a gray, collard shirt with a Chaos patch on the chest (I think left, but not sure). Mine was left behind the bar in June (I know, I'm late to get to this) wondering if anyone grabbed it by accident. Thanks a lot!
Most of you know I hit the slopes and the breweries out west every year. A few of you expressed interest in a ski trip out to Colorado. Wondering if that is something people would want to do in Feb. 2015? I'm a deal hunter and I usually rent a condo or a house near in Breckenridge within walking distance to main street, to the pubs and brewery, but it's also still close to the slopes. I also like to stay 1-2 nights in Denver to hit some of the breweries around there, before heading up to the mountains to get acclimated.
