Hi all, our partner Big Onion Tavern Group is having a golf outing on Monday, September 23rd. I feel like some people in the club are golfers, so if you're interested in going or getting a team together it looks like a good time. (I'll be out of town for the Bears game so won't be able to make it.)
As soon as the new brewhouse has burners burnin, we need to start producing some Harvest Ales for the Fall Member Appreciation Party, Saturday November 2nd, 2013. Keep in mind you can make Cider anywhere anytime, so you cider lovers should jump on it NOW.
I know this is last minute, but I plan to be at the brew house today from 2:00 pm through 6:00 pm. If anyone can make it over, please stob by. I'm going to try and get as much organized as possible so we can get back to brewing next week. Thanks!
I have been informed that our grain for the Hoptacular Club Competion has arrived today!
This years competion is a S,M.a.S.H. beer. Single malt and single hop. We can brew any style. We can toast, roast or smoke the grain. We can barrel age the beer or add wood to it. We can add herbs, spices and miscellaneous flavoring such as fruit or fruit flavorings. We can not add any other fermentable sugars to the beer; no malt extract, candi syrup, honey, apple juice, molasses, treacle, ect.
