I was thinking that it is probably a good thing to plan two classes in November/Early December that our Trail Members can take advantage of to learn how to brew and/or make the transition to all grain.
I am going to be at the brewhouse tomorrow evening and start looking into what needs to be done to get the bars back piece back together. I cordinated with Lucas over the weekend and got new electrical ran up against the wall. So we can now push the bar closer to the wall and get that back piece installed.
I should be there around 6:30 pm if anyone wants to give me a hand...
Hi everyone. I just discovered your club and am really interested in joining. I've taken a class (at Brew in Grow) and toured a bunch of breweries, but the equipment and lack of knowledge/space were enough to keep me out of brewing and just focused on buying delicious beer. After attending a couple classes/discussions, I'd like to start brewing beer. I have no equipment and a very basic understanding of the process. It sounds like the apprentice level would be a solid place to start, but I was hoping to get someone's opinion. Thanks a lot for your time!
Anyone planning on brewing Saturday (Nov2) in the morning? Trying to do final of the 3 introductory brews. Willing to start anytime prior to 11AM. Doing an all-grain porter, so time commitment will be 4 hours. Send me a message if you can accomodate. Thanks and have a good week.
Big thanks to Revolution! They came through on the promise of barrels. They saved us the last 4 from their lot despite many offers to buy them. They are currently in the back of the brewhouse and previously held Deth's Tar, and smell like they have plenty of life left in them. I notified Kyle, our Master of Wood, and I'm assuming he'll coordinate the future of these barrels. I recall a mention of brewing a big batch at Horse Thief. For anyone interested they are emptying 80 more in about 4 weeks, those will be for sale then.
Just Got an email back from Revolution. They saved us 4 free Barrels as originally promised, previously aging Deth's Tar. We need to grab then tomorrow between 12-6 excluding 3-4 for brewery tours. I can do them one at a time in my Forester, but I'm working with a broken rib and I'm gonna need help lifting. If anyone has a pickup truck, the danger ranger, anything, or can help me lift PM me, hit me up on Facebook whatever. I should be back in town around 1 tomorrow. If you can help, let me know. Thanks.
