I've made a reservation for some of my BJCP classmates to brew one of our beers on Sunday but I can't make it. Can any other Alchemist or Full Brewer member let them in at noon and supervise their brew?
A friend of mine is helping organize a fundraiser for the victims of the typhoon in the philliphines. I am asking if anyone is willing to donate any of their homebrew for the event. The event is scheduled for Dec. 15th. Please let me know if you would be willing to help out and with what amount of beer.
I'm at the brewhaus and it appears the drop ceiling and light in the bathroom collapsed sometime overnight or at least since someone was last here. I'll clean the debris the best I can, but I'm a bit concerned about possible live wires from the light. Also it appears the sink got hit and rocked from the impact, it looks like it cracked the drain pipe off the sink so it now drains into it's cabinet instead of the pipe.
This year is the first time I am going to try and obtain Bourbon County Stout when it goes on sale Friday. Has anybody gone through this circus? Just wondering how quickly inventories do wipe out that first morning.
If anyone is interested in hard to find bulk hops check out hops direct....they have citra, amarillo and many others for good prices while they last. I have gotten hops from them the last 2 years and have been happy with the quality.
I have mailed out 152 cards since we have started the program. If you have not received a card and should have ....pm me I may have missed ya. I have saved a ton of money at B & G and you should too.
Have you ever been drinking beer on a cold winter day and wished to yourself "I really wish this cold beer was hot...and had a stick of butter in it?" If so, this recipe is for you. Sounds a lot like a custard or an eggnog of sorts. I'm sure I'll whip some up in the depths of winter and report back.
Was anyone at the brewhouse when the crazy storm came through or there afterwords? Curious to know if we had leaks or any issues with the space since the roof was repatched.
