I know we have way more than enough to do at the new brau haus, but I can't help but think of the possibilities. I thought I'd ask and see what equipment we may have, and see if anyone knows anything about a RIMS or HERMS system, and see if there is interest in constructing such a system in the future. There's the big dollar welded frame 3 burner system, but that would run us into the thousands more than likely after buying tubing and getting it welded, burners, gas valves, etc.
I will be busy installing gas lines and bouncing over to the old space to disasamble the water to deal with supervising y'all. The above is easy with a bit of common sense. so, lets get this shit done!
Just when you thought your hangover from this past January had subsided, it's time to start thinking about brewing for the next Stout and Chili Night.
If you're new to the club, Stout and Chili Night is one of our four seasonal events, and drink options are limited exclusively to dark colored beers. It doesn't have to be a stout to count, many successful beers in the past were porters, belgian quads/strong ales, Barleywines, Black IPA's, Weizenbocks, etc...
We're looking for a straight truck with a lift gate for Aug 31 - this Saturday. If anyone has access to one, that would be great. If we don't have access to one, we'll have to rent one.
We can provide insurance for any truck someone is willing to lend.
New member here...on a trial membership. Just wanted to say hello....and see if/when someone will be around to show around the club a bit. I have been brewing for a number of years now...but haveing a club closeish by and have the ablity to have a good fermination room (probrem in chicago summers) is great!!
We are in the home stretch with the ferm room! I need two bodies to install the insulation and the sheetrock tomorrow, Sunday the 25th!
No experience necessary! I will do all the cut outs for ya I just need your muscle to put it up!
We have 1 week to get the new space ready for the move on Saturday!
let's bang this shit out yo!
