Our friends at Square Kegs will be holding their annual Winterbrew competition on January 14th. This is a huge competition and this year's winner will not only get to brew their beer with Empirical Brewing, but Empirical will then enter that beer into 2017s Great American Beer Festival.

Now that I have your attention, here's the catch:

We have three free entries to the evening Hoptacular session for club members to pour our soon to be award winning beer entry at a CHAOS booth. James will be there, so we need two more volunteers to help out. You get in for free and can certainly take turns representing the club and walking around the festival.

Hoptacular is Saturday, November 5th. The evening session is 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Our friend Lisa at Miller has informed me that next Wednesday, there will be kegs of unfiltered and unpasteurized pilsner urquell tapped at Kaiser TIger (who happens to also be one of our partners):

For those of you not in-the-know, unfiltered and unpasteurized pilsner urquell is a pretty unique beer in the US. Kegs pop up from time to time at major events but on the whole, it's a pretty tough cookie to get your hands on.
