Registration has opened today for the 24th Boneyard Brew Off in Champaign/Urbana.

I'll be driving entries down in person - so your beer gets a free ride and you don't have to hassle with packing and shipping.

 

Delivery of entries is due before 6/6.

$7 1st entry, $5 for additional entries.

 

I plan on driving down to Triptych Brewing to drop off if anyone wants to ride a long or put entries in my trunk.

CHAOS Beer/Food Pairing Fundraiser

The club was approached by the owner of a gift shop in Logan Square about holding a Father's Day themed beer and food pairing workshop in her store. She does this on a regular basis with arts and crafts types of things, but thought it would be cool to start doing beer related events. Here's a link to the store: https://www.shop1021.com/

One of Kyle Nordquist's gold-medal winning beers at the recent Charlie Orr Memorial Chicago Cup, his American Pale Ale, was chosen by Hailstorm's brewmaster to be brewed at the brewery.  Tentatively, they're looking at an August brewing date and a tapping in September - so the beer is fresh for the GABF!  Way to represent CHAOS, Kyle!  We'll have to fill the Hailstorm taproom that night.

Entry deadline for the Munton's/CHAOS Scottish Light Club-Only Competition is coming up - you need to register your entry in the online form here by this Sunday, April 15th.  This is to make sure we've got the right number of judges lined up.  Entries are down a little bit from recent club-only competitions, sign up if you want to get in on the competition.
