Beer and Bocce at American Bocce Co's space 4/29

Forums:

I'd like to set up a CHAOS event to pour some beer at American Bocce Company's (ABC) league playoffs on April 29th. I've done a league a few years ago and they are good, like minded people. Their space is set up really close to us and Goose (Paulina and Hubbard). They've graciously offered to open up a 3rd court for CHAOS members to hang out.

I'd like to have 20 gallons of beer. I can donate up to 10 gallons. Please reply to this if you'd like to donate/pour or some or co-brew with me. New members please speak up!

Dovetail Open Brew Days

Forums:

Dovetail has extended an invite to us for a really cool event. For those of you who haven't been, these guys make amazing lagers and know their shit. Definitely stop by if you can!

Dovetail Brewery turns two years old in a couple months. While we’re still a very young brewery, we’re inspired by hundreds of years of brewing traditions you can see at work in our brewery everyday. We make Plzen water. We decoction brew. We open ferment. And we use a coolship. We’d love to geek out and tell you all about it.

Hi all,

I have a 15gal FEW Bourbon Barrel that was given to me by Old Irving Brewing.  They used it for 1 fill of Krampus Cookies.

I'm thinking of brewing a Wee Heavy (Yeast harvested from Scottish Light Comp) for this and entering it in the Barrel Aged catagory in some of the upcoming Midwest Beer competitions.    PM me for details.

Beer in the Woods

Forums:

We've been invited back to serve CHAOS beer at the Beer in the Woods charity event on Saturday, September 29th.

In their words: Y'all brought great energy and great beer to the event last year. I hope you can make it again this year!

For those of you not familiar, this is an outdoor beer fest/fundraiser held in Lebaugh Woods on the north side.

If anyone is interested in taking the lead on this, please PM me. It would be great to have a newer member or someone trying to get more involved with the club to step up!

Two Large Competitions Coming Up

Forums:

The Drunk Monk Challenge and Charlie Orr Memorial Chicago Cup Challenge (Our own Jim V is co organizing this one!) are both coming up in March. It would be great to have a lot of winning CHAOS beers in these competitions!

It would also be cool to have a lot of CHAOS members judging or stewarding these competitions. They're both really fun and are a great way to hangout with other clubs and homebrewers.

The Drunk Monk site isn't live yet, but here are the links to both:
